The Princess
-written by Jeremy Gloff

THE STORY:
Stevie Nicks’ box set had recently been released and one of its treasures was the b-side “Garbo”. After hearing that song I had to write a waltz of my own. A suicide lullaby.
THE LYRICS:
Sunglasses cover
Boxes in empty eyes
An arctic figurine
Carves verse for her into the ice
Now he's marathon running
To tell her hello
But once stars wink o'er the town
Princess sleeps aloneCHORUS:
What a horrible time
To be alive
She thinks about dying more
EverydayThe boys request five minutes
With hopes to be alone
She's running to lay in the graveyard
Taking the sadder way home
She's warning her friends that she's crazy
"Come walk with me," one of them says
She has yet to sort out herself
Friend talked of himself insteadChorus Repeats
Her lips have gotten near poison
Run blades on her face in the mirror
Woke up today after cold yesterday
Looks like another bad year(She could make sure
No one would notice
She could make sure
No one would ever notice
She could make sure
No one would ever see)...and she gave up a million
Pieces of herself
In hopes that she may
Find herself.
