Seven Bodies Seven Days
-written by Jeremy Gloff
-appears on America Is Lonely Tonight (2001)

THE STORY:
I sat with my friend Siobohan in my car and played the final mix of this song.  Her voice during the instrumental section blows me away, still.   This was a tricky well to climb out of.

THE LYRICS:

Some that he fucked
Say he’s the best they’ve ever had
Thank God he found another thing That he’s good at
Looking for salvation with failure
The same ones who broke him
Can’t save him

Chorus:
Give me seven bodies in seven days
Grinding the sad away
It is so sweet how it numbs me
The arrow never shoots in my favor

Clinic says no disease
And after all he’s done
He should be dead or dying
Looking for salvation with failure
Sex sells and he has been buying

Repeat Chorus
Joy never comes in my flavor

He knows that he needs
To get out of this
They vaporize
Without their sex appeal.
