The Story:
ROMANTICO was my 12th album. The original concept was to write a collection of songs capturing the giddiness of a new-found crush. This original theme was derailed mid-project. The struggles I detailed on my prior two albums continued to challenge me as I worked on ROMANTICO.
I began to attend a 12-step support group. These meetings were a step in a positive direction. In conjunction with my search for wellness I began to write songs that really dug in to my psychology.
ROMANTICO ended up balancing some of my most carefree and light songs with my most ponderous and heavy.
