THE STORY:
My friends told me they’d found me the perfect guy. I had to meet him. They gave his details and those details convinced me I did in fact have to meet him. The fairy tale twisted when said guy became a hospitalized patient in a psychiatric hospital. That didn’t deter Mr. Jeremy Gloff. I wrote this song about him and we had our first date two days after his release.
THE LYRICS:
If sad eyes are only windows to the soul
Behind your smile
I can see that you are vulnerable
And so you hate yourself
That’s how the story goes
I wanna see you naked
Wearing all your clothes
I get the vibe
That you may be as crazy as me
And I get the vibe
That you may fit me perfectlyChorus:
Laydown
(Never been satisfied but when I’m with you I will try
Never been satisfied
But you have never been in my life before)You fall asleep to the sound
Of my night time soliloquy
I am a man
And still there is a mother in me
I won’t be your Harlequin
That’s a role I will not play
I wanna be your movie star
Every single dayRepeat chorus
I watch your visions crystallize inside my eyes
You give myself to me when I forget how to try
We’re wildflowers as we bloom inside the bed
There’s a little life after death
When you’re inside my head…
