Jeremy Gloff has some great fans. Whether they admire his lust for life, humor, advice columns (we pine for more Dear Gloffy), or knack for making music, the Tampa-based singer-songwriter has supporters by the fistful. And just in case he forgot about the people who stand by him, a recent successful Kickstarter campaign to fund a new LP – Inside Of Blue Buildings — reminded him.
“It’s kicked my ass and I’ve started to feel great about being an independent musician again.” Gloff, 38, told SubAp! when asked about the effort to fund his 18th solo LP, “I’m so thankful.”
He’s been busy at work fulfilling his Kickstarter promises (mailing loads of CDs and recording one-of-a-kind covers of songs by Madonna, Tina Turner, and Fleetwood Mac amongst over a dozen others), and he’ll celebrate 20 years of music making (his first LP – True Stories — dropped in 1993) with a release show at Mermaid Tavern on September 29.
