Guilt and Shame
-written by Jeremy Gloff
-appears on Autumn (1998)

THE STORY:
Late one night he showed me his and I showed him mine.  And then some.  We fell asleep on the same floor.  He woke and left.  He never talked to me again.  I no longer had my good friend to laugh with and make pizzas at 3 a.m.

THE LYRICS:

Guilt's not thinking clear
Perversion on his brain
He's liked boys his whole life
Wasting his life
Trying to stay sane
Lost it more than twice
Does madness have an end?
There he was - between the legs
of Shame his friend... his friend.

Shame is still in schoole
His spine is made of thread
His brain produces razor-blades
That bludgeon up his head
With miss girlfriend
No attraction to a guy
'Till the prospect of a mouth
Brought Guilt between his thighs...

Sleep through the night
Wake up feeling filthy
Hear it in your voice
This is scratching you
Does this sicken you?
You in my tree...

Anxiety and shaking
Shaking and anxiety
(Please don't hate me)
