The Story:
I was approached by Versus Press to participate in a collaboration with controversial author Dennis Cooper. The premise was that I'd recieve a copy of Cooper's short story "The Ash Gray Proclamation" then write a song inspired by it. The graphic nature of the story was a catalyst to me exploring darker parts of myself than I'd normally allow.
