As Angels Do

THE STORY:
I was emailing with an old friend that moved to New York. He told me his story about being on the Brooklyn Bridge and looking at the skyline…and feeling terribly alone in a city of millions. Same struggle, different town.
THE LYRICS:
He is on a bridge
In New York City
His skyline doesn't shine
Anymore
These are my empty streets
Dreams of shadows doubled
He found his
And I hope to find mine
The angel kind...Now before a window
Here's who I am
Learning to like the reflection
What's lacking in hair
Comes in personality
So those with their eager eyes
Their foamy mouths
He says "they don't play the same game
That we do
Don't let 'em get to you"These are my words for him
In New York City
Days of life don't shine
As before
And I am halfway through
Another dance of circles
When change can't rescue me and you
Angels do.
