The Story:
AMERICA
IS LONELY TONIGHT was my 11th release and I rediscovered the
piano. My personal life maintained its shakiness but
I found comfort and inspiration in the music of Emmylou Harris. You can
hear shades of her twang.
Many of these songs are frank explorations of gay internet
hookups. There's self-hatred and confusion in these songs.
And also wistful childhood recollections.
At the time I was still fresh in Tampa. I invited in
some of the area's best local artists to share these songs with
me.
